Circuits For Fun Closing Down

It’s been a fun ride!

Six years ago I set out to create a few products that would make learning electronics fun and easy for everyone. Over that course of time I had the pleasure of hearing from thousands and thousands of people sharing great stories of what they have learned and what kind of projects they were building. This was just a part time endeavor worked on after a long day at my full time job, needless to say there were times when I was so exhausted I wasn’t sure how long I could keep this up but hearing from so many happy customers was the fuel that kept me going.

Unfortunately I’ve reached a point now that I have too many other big projects going on that I just can’t dedicate enough time to support this side effort anymore and must call it quits.

I will continue to keep the site around for a while longer and the email for another year to offer support for existing customers so they are not left high and dry but there will be no new or current products for sale anymore.

The Online Store Is Moving To Tindie

The Circuits For Fun Store is moving over to Tindie, it seems like a great fit for the type of products we offer and it also has the added benefit of not having to maintain our own store server, which means more time to develop cool new products!

2014 Orlando Maker Faire

Circuits for Fun will be there supporting the Orlando Robotics and Makers Club. If you’re in Orlando this weekend, the 13th and 14th come to the Maker Faire and drop by the Orlando Robotics and Makers booth to say hi!!

pyMCU Turns 2 Years Old Today

It was only two short years ago pyMCU was introduced to the world, the idea was to create something that would combine the easy to learn python programming language with electronics so users of all skill levels could create fun and interesting projects. Judging by the projects we have seen from users it has been a great success.

This section is for older undocumented projects that might be of interest to some people, have a look and if you think any of them might be useful / helpful and you would like more info feel free to send an email requesting what you would like to know.

New Store Will Be Online Soon

The new store is still in progress, in the meantime you can still access the old pyMCU store. You will notice that stock on most items is either low or out. Items will be back in stock in about a week or two as we get things moved over to the new processing and inventory system.

The Forum Has Been Moved Over

The pyMCU forum is now backed up from the old server and restored to the new Circuits For Fun site. All usernames and passwords should be intact. If you are experiencing any issues logging in please let me know.

Unfortunately all posts have been marked as new due to the moving process.
